Take a Journey with the Master! Come take a journey to look at your "inner me" and allow God to reveal what He wants to change in you. The focused time with Him allows you to personally acknowledge areas of your life that need to be changed in order to allow a more intimate relationship with Him. Be the woman Jesus desires you to be as you journey from station to station introspectively searching your own heart for cleansing and healing.

Sink or Swim

The Sink or Swim workshop is based on the premise that "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen." In this session author Melanie D. Phillips shares how, she went from devastation to determination after experiencing some of the most unimaginable losses in her life. Armed with faith, a renewed self-awareness, and a desire to turn her pain into power; She embarked upon a journey that changed her life forever. Using her story as a platform to inspire and challenge others, to redefine their lives based on what they believe is possible verses what they’ve been through. During the session attendees are encouraged to reach far beyond their “now” and push forward with passion, focus and faith toward a more fruitful and purpose driven life.

Faith for the Vision Casting

As we approach the end of the year, many facilitators will begin to prepare us for vision casting through the creation of vision boards. This session provides the spiritual foundation for vision casting by teaching the process of setting a realistic God-given vision and providing insight regarding the faith walk required throughout the year in order to see the vision become your life's reality.

Finding You

The fun part of reading is relating to characters. Sometimes we can even see ourselves in a character. Watching that character overcome their challenge can help, encourage, push us to keep going. Having friends beside you as you go through anything makes it a little easier... even if that person is make believe.

Worshipper in the Workplace

You found the job with your name on it! You meet the qualifications. Actually, you don't, but you have a prayer circle that will bombard heaven on your behalf to ensure that you are considered. You prepare. You knock the interview out of the ballpark. You're offered the position, and you accept. You meticulously select your first day of work outfit. You pack your favorite coffee mug. You make certain you have lunch money just in case no one offers to dine with you on your first day. You plan the quickest route to the workplace. You are ready! Yet, you've forgotten one crucial, make or break concept. Have you considered the worshipper you will be in the workplace? This workshop will enable participants to explore the worshipper they elect to be in the workplace through simulations, small group activities, deep reflection and fun as evidenced through the Word of God.

Managing the Mama Hustle

The Mama Hustle is a zone of performance where a woman aligns her intentions and actions to live purposefully, profitably and powerfully. This alignment of priorities and daily habits creates a resistance to be all things to all people. Liberated from the oppression of overwhelm and anxiety, she daily chooses to flow in her purpose and gifts serving others while maintaining her own sense of peace, joy and fulfillment. Having successfully, managed the Mama Hustle, the complexities of womanhood, she creates a healthy life rhythm. This rhythm provides the overture from which she experiences relational, professional and spiritual satisfaction. Participants will begin to: 1. Identify core values. 2. Identify obstacles to honoring core values. 3. Identify areas for personal performance improvement. 4. Make a connection between core values and desired improvement. 5. Create a Success Plan outline.

TESTIMONIALS

What People are Saying about CBLR:

The fellowship is unbelievable.
Vanessa Riley
I have never felt the presence of God so much at a single event outside of church and I have attended a lot of Christian conferences within the area I live.
CBLR Attendee 2018
I saw an advertisement for the Christian Book Lover's Retreat on Facebook and immediately paid the full registration fee before I could change my mind. Not only did I enjoy the retreat. But I have learned so much about myself good and bad. Also, within this week I have had God move in BiG ways.
CBLR Attendee 2018
After attending CBLR, I had a sense of peace that I had not felt prior. I needed those few days of just communing with God and with other Christians. I want to encourage you to continue this work that God has given you. I will be there next year!
CBLR Attendee 2017
I am in awe of this retreat and I felt very honored to be among so many beautiful and talented authors
Author 2017 CBLR
Excellent event, great people! I loved worshipping with others.
Stephanie 2016 CBLR Attendee
I cannot give this retreat a # from 1-10. I will say INFINITY... the goodie bags, the structure of author appearances, the workshops and parties... everything was a blessing.
Laverne 2016 CBLR Attendee
Great event; well attended; lots to do. Yippee! Woohoo! Kudos! Amazing presenters.
Valerie 2016 CBLR Attendee
There were a lot of great things that were planned. All of the speakers were DYNAMIC! This was my first time, but I will definitely be back!
Monica 2017 CBLR
It was not just one "event" that touched my mind and my soul at the retreat. It was the love, friendliness, compassion, togetherness, camaraderie-- I could go on and on. Don't stop! Keep this retreat going. It is truly a blessing.
